The De-Impactor II is an adjustable separating spring used to upright and erupt maxillary and mandibular molar and bicuspid teeth.

The De-Impactor II is especially useful in de-impacting maxillary and mandibular first molars that are impacted under the distal contour of the deciduous second molars.  It is recommended even in those cases where the distal root of the diciduous second molar has been resorbed.

It is best to use the De-Impactor II on the impacted first molars before these teeth have caused resorption on the distal of deciduous second molars and this is done by removing the gingival over the unerupted first molar prior to De-Impactor II placement.
